From Guiding to Ownership
Otto Mlanda, a passionate Tanzanian naturalist and professional safari guide, is the heart behind Paka Adventures Ltd. Otto spent over 15 years working as a lead guide for the company under its original Norwegian founders, Ellen and Eivind—a couple who built the company with love for Tanzania and a deep respect for its people and wildlife. After years of learning the business, perfecting the guest experience, and guiding travelers from around the world, Otto took over the company to continue its legacy—with a local voice, vision, and soul. “After working with Ellen and Eivind for more than a decade, it was an honor to take the reins and continue sharing the magic of Tanzania with the world—on our terms, through local eyes.” – Otto Mlanda Today, Paka Adventures is proudly 100% Tanzanian-owned, rooted in ethical travel practices, and powered by a team that truly loves what they do.
