Overview
Gombe Stream National Park is Tanzania’s smallest national park but one of its most famous wildlife destinations. Located along the eastern shoreline of Lake Tanganyika, Gombe became world-renowned through Dr. Jane Goodall’s groundbreaking chimpanzee research, which began here in 1960.
This fly-in safari combines scenic flights, boat transfers, tropical rainforest hiking, and unforgettable encounters with wild chimpanzees. Besides chimpanzees, Gombe is home to olive baboons, red-tailed monkeys, red colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, bushbucks, and more than 200 bird species.
The combination of rainforest, mountain scenery, and the crystal-clear waters of Lake Tanganyika makes this safari one of Tanzania’s most unique wildlife experiences.
Perfect for wildlife enthusiasts, photographers, researchers, honeymooners, and nature lovers.
